Manchester plays host to several annual Festivals and one-off events. It has major open spaces such as the Castlefield Bowl, Albert Square and Heaton Park; these are used regularly for celebrations, Music Concerts and even the Christmas Markets.
There are two large exhibition halls in Manchester, Manchester Central, the old 'Central' railway station, with its conference centre and Event City in Trafford, opposite the Trafford Shopping Centre. There are smaller spaces, such as Kraak, and galleries where exhibitions and Pop-ups are hosted.
The Old Granada Studios has theatres and spaces that host events and exhibitions. Sport too is celebrated in the city for example the World BMX Bike Championships were held in the Manchester Velodrome during 2015.
As a visitor to the city you maybe interested in the Vintage Fair, every forst Sunday of the month, in Castlefield or the monthly Castlefield Food Market.
